Kaze Arashi ryu is a tradition that is foremost dedicated to our students, members and instructors. Without this dedication, we would not have been able to survive the past and our future would be in question. Though there are many martial arts that offer a vast field of knowledge and instruction from varied fields, traditions, styles, from different countries and historical backgrounds, we feel that the core and whole of the knowledge stemming from our tradition is unique and special, and we will persevere to continue the original values of Kazemura Yama Arashi ryu. Our present instructors, as well as those of the past, had high level knowledge and grading from other martial arts and chose Kaze Arashi ryu for their continued graduate studies. Our strength is in the dedication and instruction of our classical techniques and its background.

Kaze Arashi ryu has chosen a path toward traditional instruction by retaining the original knowledge of the techniques, strategy, spiritual guidance and philosophy of Kazemura Yama Arashi ryu. We have always adhered to a policy to whereby our students and instructors have the right to view, search and participate in other martial arts. Since most of us originally came from other traditions, arts, styles, defense and fighting abilities, it leaves us very confident in the course of study of Kaze Arashi ryu.

MOUNTAIN VIEW AIKI KAI

The Home Of Mountain View Aiki Since 2007

Mountain View Aiki is band of serious martial artists and good friends who train together and teach the arts of Kaze Arashi Ryu. Currently we have dojo’s and sensei’s in three states working together to grow our own skills and pass on the gift of this art which means so much to us to another small group of students, much like it was passed to us. We have been honored to have both Vilaire Sensei (Shihan, Menkyo Kaiden) and Sastri Sensei (Menkyo Kaiden) visit and teach at our dojos. Both continue to direct our training and growth .

These dojos are a labor of love, and operated with no commercial interest. We maintain a small student teacher ratio – and an interview always precedes the students ability to join the school

We have been asked many a times why we train the way we do, share in small groups the way we do and not operate in a “studio” – and the only answer we have for this are in the words of Herman Hesse “every man is a journey to himself” and this is our path/way of moving on that journey. Its a path, and not the path, and it suits a few and not everyone! And those few we welcome with open arms.
